...The pilgrimage site is mainly made up of rocks, caves, waterfalls, ponds, etc., and many Buddhas and deities, including Zao Gongen, Acala, Kongo Doji, and Shinben Daibosatsu, as well as the founder of the pilgrimage, are enshrined there. The 75 stages begin at Kumano Hongu (No. 1), Nachisan (No. 2), and Kumano Shingu (No. 3), and are divided into Kongokai (Kongokai) on the Yoshino side and Taizokai (Taizōkai) on the Kumano side by rock formations at Mt. Tamaki (No. 10), Shinsen-no-yado (No. 38), and Kujaku-ga-take (No. 42), and end at Sanjo-ga-take (No. 67), passing through Mt. Hakkyo-ga-take (No. 51), Mt. Misen (No. 54), Miroku-ga-take (No. 61), Sho-no-iwaya (No. 62), and Ozasa-no-yado (No. 66). It also passes through Aizen-no-yado (No. 70), Konsei-myojin (No. 71), Yoshino-Zao-do (No. 73), and finishes at Yanagi-no-yado (No. 75).
