A town in Minamikoma district in western Yamanashi Prefecture. The eastern part of the town is at the southwestern edge of the Kofu Basin, with the Fuji River running north to south through it. It was formed in March 2010 by the merger of Masuho town and Kajikazawa town in Minamikoma district. On the northern border with Minami-Alps City, Mount Fuji and the Shiramine Sanzan mountains can be seen, and Mount Kushigatake, known for its beautiful flower clusters, is located here. The Chubu-Odan Expressway and National Route 52 pass through the town.
