The world tree functions as the axis of the universe, connecting this world with the transcendental world, and in Tao Qian's (Yuanming's) "Peach Blossom Source," it is said that one visits another world (Shangri-La) by passing through a profusion of peaches, which probably reflects the mythical idea that peaches serve as a passage to another world....
