Takeshi Fujii

A non-church Christian evangelist. One of the disciples of Uchimura Kanzo. After graduating from the law department of Tokyo Imperial University, he worked as a civil servant before becoming Uchimura's assistant in 1915 (Taisho 4). In 1920, he organized a Bible study group and devoted himself to independent evangelism. With his pure personality and fervent faith in the gospel, he influenced many as a leading figure in the second generation of the non-church movement. His long poem, "The Marriage of the Lamb," is famous. He published a monthly magazine, "Old Testament and New Testament." His collected works include "Fujii Takeshi Complete Works," 12 volumes in total (1931), and "Fujii Takeshi Selected Works," 10 volumes in total (1959).

無教会主義キリスト教の伝道者。内村鑑三(うちむらかんぞう)門下の一人。東京帝国大学法科を卒業後、官吏生活を経て、1915年（大正4）内村の助手となり、1920年、聖書研究会を組織して独立伝道に投じる。清純な人柄と熱烈な福音(ふくいん)信仰によって、無教会運動第二世代の指導的人物として多くの感化を及ぼした。その長編詩「羔(こひつじ)の婚姻」は有名。個人月刊誌『旧約と新約』を主宰した。著作集には『藤井武全集』全12巻（1931）、『藤井武選集』全10巻（1959）がある。
