Ancient Roman goddess of fate. Also known as Phorus. She is identified with the Greek Tyche and is depicted blindfolded and holding a cornucopia and a rudder to control fate. It is believed that she was originally a fertility goddess who brought about the harvest of the earth. She was especially revered by the sixth king, Servius Tullius, and is said to have been his lover.
