Photo Secession
A photography group founded by A. Stieglitz in 1902. It is also known simply as the "Secession." Inspired by the new artistic movement "Secession" that was developing in architecture and art at the time, he named his movement "Photo Secession" to establish a unique form of photography art. Other members included John G. Bullock, William B. Dyer, Frank Eugene (1865-1936), Dallet Fuguet, Gertrude Käsebier, Joseph T. Keiley, Robert S. Redfield, Eva Watson-Schütze, Edmund Stirling, John Francis Strauss, and Clarence H. White (1871-1925).
