Poverty line - Binbosen

Also known as the poverty line. A concept proposed by British social entrepreneur B.S. Rowntree. A distinction is made between primary poverty, when total income is insufficient to maintain physical efficiency, and secondary poverty, when physical efficiency can be maintained without other expenses, and the minimum living expenses considered in these cases are called the poverty line. 貧困線とも。英国の社会事業家ラウントリーB.S.Rowntreeの提起した概念。総収入が単なる肉体的能率を維持するにも足らない場合を第１次貧乏，他に支出することがなければ肉体的能率だけは維持できるという場合を第２次貧乏と分け，そこで考えられる最低生活費の水準を貧乏線と称した。
