The Epistle of Philemon is one of Paul's prison epistles in the New Testament. It is a short letter to Philemon, Paul's patron in Colossae, and the only one addressed to a personal address among Paul's epistles. Philemon's slave Onesimus had fled to Rome and was converted to Christianity by Paul. When Paul sent him back to Philemon, he urged him to accept him as a brother in the faith, in the name of love.
