〘 noun 〙① To draw someone in. [Jin Shu - Emperor Xuan's Chronicle] ② To summon or take someone away. [Wu Zhi - Biography of Zhang Wen] ③ To forcibly take a suspect, defendant, or person caught in the act of committing a crime to a court, prosecutor's office, or police station. ※Criminal Procedure Code (Meiji 23) (1890), Article 58: "Anyone who is in danger of fleeing may be brought before a prosecutor or a government office."
