Württemberg
(Württemberg) A region in southwestern Germany. The County of Württemberg was established in the late 13th century, and became a federal state when the German Empire was established in 1871. It became a republic in 1918, and became the state of Württemberg when the federal system was abolished in 1934. In 1952, it merged with the states of Baden-Hohenzollern to form the state of Baden-Württemberg, and became a part of it.

(Württemberg) ドイツ南西部の地方。一三世紀後半にビュルテンベルク伯領が成立し、一八七一年ドイツ帝国の成立に際して連邦の一国となる。一九一八年には共和制にかわり、一九三四年連邦制の廃止によりビュルテンベルク州となる。一九五二年バーデン・ホーエンツォレルンの二州と合併してバーデン‐ビュルテンベルク州が成立し、その一部となる。
