Japanese: ヒマラヤン[種]（英語表記）Himalayan

A new long-haired domestic cat (illustration) created by crossing a Persian cat with a Siamese cat. This cat combines the beautiful long hair of the Persian with the clear blue eyes and characteristic points of the Siamese, and is gentle in nature, easy to tame, and affectionate. The breed has only a short history of breeding, and the percentage of kittens born with the ideal combination of strengths is still not necessarily high. The ears, face, limbs, and long tail are brighter and darker than the body, and these are called points, and there are chocolate points, lilac points, blue points, red points, and so on.

ペルシアネコとシャムネコを交配して作出された新しい長毛種の家ネコ(イラスト)。ペルシアの美しい長毛とシャムの澄んだブルーの目と特徴的なポイントを兼備したネコで，性質は穏和でなれやすく，甘えん坊である。この品種が育種された歴史は浅く，理想の長所を兼備した子ネコが生まれる割合はまだ必ずしも多くはない。耳，顔，四肢，長い尾は体部より鮮やかな暗色で，これらをポイントとよび，チョコレート･ポイント，ライラック･ポイント(藤色)，ブルー･ポイント，レッド･ポイントなどがある。
