Born: 24 June 1813, Lichfield [Died] March 8, 1887. Brooklyn. American Congregational preacher. Son of Presbyterian minister L. Beecher. Studied at Amherst Theological Seminary and Lane Theological Seminary. Became a pastor at the Plymouth Congregational Church in Brooklyn when it was founded in 1847.
