A politician from Goryeo, Korea. His pen name was Donghyun. He was from Papyeong. He passed the civil service examination during the reign of Emperor Munjong, and thereafter held a succession of important posts, reaching the rank of Monkasijū. During that time, he participated in the campaign against the Jurchen, who were growing increasingly powerful at the time and repeatedly invading Goryeo. In 1104, he failed in a campaign as the military commander for the northeast, but in 1107, as a marshal, he led an army of 170,000 men and defeated the Jurchen army, establishing nine fortresses in the Hamhung area of Hamgyong Province. However, the Jurchen (later Jin) continued to invade Goryeo, and in 1109 they were defeated. Goryeo abandoned the nine fortresses and made peace with the Jurchen. His posthumous name was Munsu.

朝鮮，高麗の政治家。字は同玄。坡平の人。文宗代に科挙に合格し，以後要職を歴任，門下侍中に至った。その間，当時強大化し，高麗侵入を繰り返す女真の征討に従事した。1104年東北面兵馬行営使としての征討に失敗したが，07年元帥として17万の軍を率いて女真軍を討ち，咸鏡道咸興方面に9城を設置した。しかし，女真(後の金)の高麗侵寇は依然やまず，09年には大敗。高麗は9城を放棄し，女真と講和した。諡（おくりな）は文粛。
