The country of Tokai Hime-shi. ※Yonezawa Honshasekishu (1283), vol. 5, “The people of the East Sea do not know cause and effect, do not listen to the Buddhist teachings, and kill living things for food and clothing.” [2] An abbreviation of “Tokaido ( Tokaido ).” *Heike (early 13th century) vol. 5 "These people left the capital of Kokonoe and headed for the thousands of miles away to the East Sea." [3] A place name in northeastern Ibaraki Prefecture. It is known for the Muramatsu Kokuzo, one of the three great Kokuzo in Japan, and for the many nuclear facilities such as the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute, which opened in 1956. Tokai-mura. [4] A place name in western Aichi Prefecture. It is located on the west side of the base of the Chita Peninsula, facing Ise Bay. It is home to heavy chemical industries and forms part of the southern Nagoya coastal industrial area. It was incorporated as a city in 1969. [5] In China, it refers to the East China Sea. Donghai.
