Gondwana flora (English spelling)

...After the land bridge theory and the continental drift theory, the division and movement of Gondwana is now explained by plate tectonics. The Gondwana continent is characterized by the Glossopteris flora (or Gondwana flora), which is made up of 90% of the total Glossopteris species with ligulate leaves and reticulate veins. This is fundamentally different from the flora of the Northern Hemisphere, which is made up of a wide variety of plants, suggesting that it appeared under a harsh environment. Other plants that occur in the Gondwana continent include the macrophyllous Palaeovitcharia and Gondwanidium , the arthropod Schizoneura , the cuneiform Trizygia ( Sphenophyllum ), and the conifer Noeggerathiopsis .
