Higashiyama [Hot Springs] - Higashiyama
Hot spring located 5km southeast of Aizuwakamatsu city, Fukushima prefecture. Salt-containing gypsum spring. 45-68℃. It is said to have been discovered by Gyoki in the 8th century, and in the Edo period, the Aizu clan opened a public bath called Soyu. Inns line both banks of the Yukawa River. There are many scenic spots upstream of the Yukawa River, such as Amefurutaki Falls and Byobu Rock, and Mount Seaburi has a great view. Take a bus from Aizuwakamatsu city.
