A religious and philosophical didactic poem from the Mahabharata. The title means "Song of God." It was written around the 1st century. It takes the form of Prince Arjuna receiving instruction from the cowboy Krishna about the king's duty of fighting before the start of the Bharata War. As an epic poem that well summarizes the fundamentals of Indian religious and philosophical thought, it is still the holy scripture of Hindus today.

《マハーバーラタ》の１詩編である宗教・哲学的教訓詩。題名は〈神の歌〉の意。１世紀ごろの成立。バラタ戦争の開始に先だって，王子アルジュナが牧童クリシュナから王者の義務としての戦いについて，教訓を受けるという形式をとる。インドの宗教・哲学思想の根本をよく要約している叙事詩として，現在でもヒンドゥー教徒の座右の聖典である。
