Midgut gland

Japanese: 中腸腺 - ちゅうちょうせん
Midgut gland
The digestive organ of arthropods and mollusks. In mollusks, it is called the liver, and in arthropod crustaceans, it is called the hepatopancreas (commonly called miso). It is a large organ consisting of numerous complexly branched culprits, yellowish brown or dark brown in color, and is connected to the midgut by a pair of tubes. Although the structure and function differ depending on the species, it is known that not only does it secrete digestive enzymes, but it also takes in food into the culprit, digests it, and absorbs it.
