An area of the sea off the northern coast of Shikoku, occupying the central part of the Seto Inland Sea, between the Misaki Peninsula in Kagawa Prefecture and the Takanawa Peninsula in Ehime Prefecture. It borders the Bingo Nada Sea to the north and the Aki Nada Sea across the Kurushima Strait to the west. The water is about 15 to 30 meters deep, and the seabed is relatively flat. While there are many islands off the coast of the northern peninsula of Shikoku, there are few islands in the Nada region, including the Hiuchi Nada, which is thought to be due to subsidence of the Nada region. In the Hiuchi Nada, Ibuki Island, Marugami Island, Enoshima Island, Uo Island, Takaikami Island, and Shisaka Island are lined up in an east-west direction.
