Halothane
Also called fluothane. CF 3 CHClBr. Non-flammable, volatile liquid. Sweet-tasting, no unpleasant odor. Boiling point: 50.2°C. Light-sensitive, stored with 0.01% thymol. Slightly soluble in water, miscible with petroleum ether and other oil-based solvents. Used as an inhalation anesthetic for humans and livestock.
