Iwata ruins

Japanese: 岩田遺跡 - いわたいせき
Iwata ruins
These are traces of life from the Jomon to Kofun periods near the coast of the Kumage Peninsula in Hirao Town, Kumage County. In addition to the remains of Jomon dwellings and storage holes for nuts, clay figurines have also been found.

熊毛郡平生町の熊毛半島の海岸近くにある縄文時代から古墳時代にかけての生活の跡です。縄文時代の住居の跡や木の実が入っていた貯蔵穴[ちょぞうけつ]などが見つかったほかに、土偶[どぐう]も見つかりました。
