Japanese: バナジン酸塩 - バナジンさんえん（英語表記）vanadate

A general term for various salts of vanadate. Vanadium oxide (V) V ₂ O ₅ is poorly soluble in water, but exists in the form of various hydrates. These are called vanadic acids, with the general formula V ₂ O ₅ ･ n H ₂ O written in the form of the acid. H ₃ VO ₄ with n = 3 is called orthovanadic acid (not obtainable in the free form), H ₄ V ₂ O ₇ with n = 2 is called di(pyro)vanadic acid, and HVO ₃ with n = 1 is called metavanadic acid. And there are vanadates represented by n M ₂ O･V ₂ O ₅ (M is a monovalent cation) corresponding to each vanadate.

各種バナジン酸の塩の総称。酸化バナジウム(V) V₂O₅は水に難溶であるが，各種の水和物の形で存在する。これらの一般式V₂O₅･nH₂Oを酸の形式に書いてバナジン酸vanadic acidと呼んでいる。n＝3のH₃VO₄をオルトバナジン酸(遊離では得られない)，n＝2のH₄V₂O₇を二(ピロ)バナジン酸，n＝1のHVO₃をメタバナジン酸という。そしてそれぞれのバナジン酸に対応してnM₂O･V₂O₅(Mは1価の陽イオン)で表されるバナジン酸塩が存在する。
