Ankle band - Ashiwa

Japanese:
Ankle band - Ashiwa
An accessory worn as a ring around the foot. Anklets. Historically, they were worn before the ancient Egyptian dynasty. They were also used extensively in the Roman period, but naturally fell out of fashion in the Middle Ages when people began to wear long clothing and their feet became hidden. In modern times, after World War I, only a few women were seen wearing thin gold chains, and anklet bracelets have become an accessory unique to primitive societies. They are usually worn around the ankle, but some are intended to protect the feet, such as leg guards used for work or sports.
