Bird watching - Bird watching

Bird watching - Bird watching

It refers to watching birds living in the wild outdoors. In Japan, it is often called bird watching or bird watching. Also, while bird watching is used in the UK, birding is used in the US. However, this term does not refer to the act of ornithologists or bird researchers studying birds in the wild; it only refers to the hobby of watching birds for fun.

In 1889, the Royal Society for Protection of Birds was founded in England to oppose the capture and breeding of birds, as well as the capture and killing of eggs and chicks, and the enjoyment of watching birds became widespread. This idea is well illustrated in the works of G. White and W. H. Hudson. Birdwatching is a hobby that began in England, but it became widely known around the world in the 20th century. In Japan, it began to be practiced by Kawamura Tamiji in Kyoto and Nakanishi Godo in Tokyo around 1935 (Showa 10), and has continued to this day. The Wild Bird Society of Japan is an organization formed in 1934 by people who love birdwatching.

Japanese:

The Royal Society for Protection of Birdsが設立され、鳥を見て楽しむことが普及することとなった。
