Born on March 10, 1879. Captain of the Waseda University baseball team. Shortstop. Participated in the first American expedition in 1905. After graduating, he wrote prolifically for newspapers such as Yorozu Choho, Osaka Asahi Shimbun, and Tokyo Nichi Nichi Shimbun. He was instrumental in realizing the National Intercity Baseball Tournament, and was awarded the Hashido Prize for his achievements. Died on March 23, 1936. Age 58. Born in Tokyo. Real name Makoto.
