…American film company. The four Warner brothers, Polish Jewish immigrants, Harry Warner (1881-1958), Albert W. (1884-1967), Samuel W. (1888-1927), and Jack L. Warner (1892-1978), founded Warner Feature Films in New York (1917) and moved from distribution to independent production. In 1918, they established a studio in Burbank, a suburb of Hollywood. …
