Bacninh - Bacninh (English spelling)

The capital of Bac Ninh Province (population 941,000 in 1999) in northern Vietnam. Population 33,849 (1989). Located about 30 km northeast of Hanoi, it is served by national highways 1 and 18. The land is flat, there are many rice paddies in the surrounding area, and it is a thriving agricultural product distribution center. The town has many citadels and temples. Dap Kou, located on the Son Khoi River a few kilometers north of the town, serves as the town's outer port.

ベトナム北部、バクニン省（人口94万1000。1999）の省都。人口3万3849（1989）。ハノイの北東約30キロメートルに位置し、国道1号線と18号線が通じる。土地は平坦(へいたん)で、周辺には水田が多く、農産物の集散が盛ん。町には城塞(じょうさい)や寺院が多い。町の北数キロメートルのソン・コイ川に臨むダプコウはこの町の外港的地位を占める。
