Itoigawa Matsudaira Family

...Naora was given 50,000 koku in Echizen Ono in 1644 (Shoho 1), and in the 82nd year of the reign of the second lord Naoaki (Tenna 2), he was transferred to 60,000 koku in Akashi, Harima (Akashi Domain), and the 9th lord Narinobu was given an additional 20,000 koku in 1840 (Tenpo 11), bringing his total to 80,000 koku, but as he was the son of Shogun Ienari, he was given the status of 100,000 koku. In addition to the above five families, there were the Itoigawa Matsudaira family, whose ancestor was Naokata, the eldest son of the 4th lord of the Fukui Matsudaira family, Mitsumichi, and whose grandson Naokata's grandson Naoyuki was given 10,000 koku in Echigo Itoigawa in 1717 (Kyoho 2), the Matsue Matsudaira family's second son Naomasa's founder Chikayoshi, and the Izumo Hirose Matsudaira family (30,000 koku) and Izumo Mori Matsudaira family (10,000 koku), founded in 1666 (Kanbun 6) by the third son Takamasa.

…直良は1644年(正保1)越前大野5万石,2代直明の代82年(天和2)播磨明石6万石に移封(明石藩),9代斉宣は1840年(天保11)2万石加増されて8万石となるが,将軍家斉の子だったため10万石の格式を与えられた。以上の5家のほか,福井松平家4代光通の長男直堅を祖とし,直堅の孫直之が1717年(享保2)越後糸魚川1万石に入封した糸魚川松平家,松江松平家祖直政次男近栄,同じく三男隆政を祖として1666年(寛文6)創立された出雲広瀬松平家(3万石)と出雲母里(もり)松平家(1万石)があり,合わせて8大名が存在した。
