〘名〙括り緒で口を締める布帛製の袋で、縦横に絹紐を刺し縫いにしてほころびを防いだもの。中古から、宿直用の衣類を入れて従者に持参させた宿直袋(とのいぶくろ)をはじめ、旅行に盛んに用いた。近世は、絹布製で上刺しを施し、四角な底を入れ、袋の口を組糸でかがって乳(ち)とし、それにやや太い組緒を通して括り緒とした。うわざし。〔雍州府志（1684）〕
