A treatise on haiku by Shiko. Published in 1719 (Kyoho 4). It is probably a fiction to say in the preface that it was completed in 1691 (Genroku 4). The contents of the work are about ten points: the tradition of haiku, the way of haiku, the virtues of haiku, the theory of truth and fiction, the theory of appearance and emotion, the place of haiku, the place of training, the theory of words and deeds, the theory of change, and the theory of formality. Based on Basho's discourse and other sources, Shiko adds his own interpretations to construct a unique theory of haiku. It is the most systematized of Shiko's works on haiku. Shiko also published Juron Weibensho and wrote Fumiyo Jiya, a refutation of the Yue people, but his influence on later generations was great, and he wrote difficult books such as Haikai Hi Juron and commentaries such as Haikai Juron Shugi and Haikai Juron Hatsumon.
