Henry II style

A style of decorative art that was popular in France in the second half of the 16th century, centered around the court of Henry II. Mainly influenced by Italian Mannerism, it is characterized by delicate patterns and forms using straight and parallel lines. A representative furniture maker of this style is Hugues Sambin.
