Japanese: 野津原[町] - のつはる

A former town in Oita County, central Oita Prefecture. The main settlement developed as a post town on the route of the Higo Domain's alternate attendance route connecting Oita and Kumamoto. Located in the valley of the Nanase River, a tributary of the Oita River, the town has a strong rural character, with rice and wheat as its main crops, and also producing shiitake mushrooms, strawberries, and Chinese chives. Beef cattle are also raised here. Bus from Oita City. In January 2005, it was incorporated into Oita City and Saganoseki Town in Oita County. 90.74 ^km2 . 5,367 people (2003).

大分県中部，大分郡の旧町。主集落は大分と熊本を結ぶ肥後藩の参勤交代路の宿場町として発達。大分川の支流七瀬川の谷に沿い，農村的色彩が強く，米麦作を主とし，シイタケ，イチゴ，ニラなども産する。肉牛も肥育。大分市からバス。2005年１月大分郡佐賀関町と大分市へ編入。90.74km²。5367人（2003）。
