A medieval warrior from Settsu. A descendant of the Seiwa Genji clan, the Tada Genji clan. It is said that the clan began in the 12th century when Tada Yoritsuna's grandson Kunimoto ruled over Nose County in Settsu, but since a vassal of the Nose clan (Nose Hangan-dai) seen in the early Kamakura period is thought to be Kunimoto's son Kuniyoshi, it is believed that the clan was already calling itself the Nose clan at that time. In 1231 (Kanki 3), the shogunate guaranteed him the position of land steward of Tajiri Manor in Nose County, and his name appears as a vassal of Tada-in around the same time, so we can see that he was building up his influence in Hokusetsu with Tajiri in Nose County as his base.
