Agricultural education

Japanese:
Agricultural education
Generally, it refers to education aimed at increasing agricultural productivity, but broadly, it also includes the practice of passing on the wisdom and techniques of our predecessors to the next generation while improving them at the household or community level through actual work. However, since the establishment of modern schools, it has come to refer primarily to a field of school education, but even here there are two different definitions: broadly, it refers to education related to agriculture taught in social studies classes in general education, but in the narrow sense, it usually refers to a field of vocational education. The above classification is common to most foreign countries. Agricultural education as vocational education includes fields such as agriculture, forestry, sericulture, animal husbandry, and horticulture, and in Japan, the first education was provided at the Hokkaido Development Agency Provisional School, which was established in Tokyo in 1872 (Meiji 5) for the purpose of developing Hokkaido.
