Ikhwān al‐Ṣafā' (English spelling) [Arabic]

Japanese: イフワーン･アッサファー（英語表記）Ikhwān al‐Ṣafā’[アラビア]

Meaning "Pure Brothers," it was a secret Ismaili religious and political society. Its founding date is unclear, but it was active in the 10th century, based in Basra, Iraq. To provide a theoretical foundation for the Ismaili movement, the group was formed by philosophers and thinkers belonging to the group, who co-authored a huge encyclopedic text in Arabic called Rasa'il Ikhwan al-Safa in the second half of the 10th century. This text consists of 52 chapters in four parts, the first of which deals with introduction, mathematics, and logic, the second with the theory of the soul and natural philosophy, the third with metaphysics, and the fourth with mysticism and astrology.
