A labor dispute at Nissan Motors took place over 100 days in the summer of 1953. As Japanese capitalism was transitioning from the special demand economy caused by the Korean War to "economic independence" and a high-growth economy, one of the issues the capitalist class faced was "establishing order in the workplace," and the Nissan dispute was a symbolic incident of the labor-management conflict over this point. At the time, the Nissan Motors Chapter of the All Japan Automobile Workers' Union (All Japan Automobile Industry Workers' Union, formed in March 1948) was known as the strongest union, engaging in peaceful struggles to rebuild the automobile industry as a peaceful industry, and implementing strong workplace regulations under "workplace committees" under the slogan "workers take the lead in production." 1953年夏,100日間にわたって争われた日産自動車における労働争議。
