Ningyo joruri. 4 steps. Music: Toyosawa Danpei. Lyrics: Kako Chiga (wife of Danpei). First performed at the Osaka Hikorokuza Theatre in February 1887. Nagisa no Kata, wife of Sugawara no vassal Minase, wanders around the country searching for her beloved son Mitsumaru, who was kidnapped by an eagle after her husband's death. One day, she posts a notice on a large cedar tree in the grounds of Nigatsudo, saying that she is searching for her beloved son who was kidnapped by an eagle 30 years ago. When the monk Roben of Todaiji Temple, who was visiting the temple, saw the notice, he remembered the story of his mentor who had once fallen from an eagle and was saved by hanging on the branch of the cedar. Surprised, he asked who the poster was, and the person who appeared was Nagisa no Kata, who had become an old woman and fallen into poverty.

人形浄瑠璃。4段。作曲豊沢団平。作詞加古千賀(団平の妻)。1887年2月大阪彦六座初演。菅原の臣水無瀬（みなせ）の妻渚の方（なぎさのかた）は，夫の死後愛育していた光丸を鷲にさらわれ，行方を求めて諸国をさまよう。あるとき二月堂境内の杉の大木に，30年前鷲にさらわれた愛児を捜していると貼紙をする。その貼紙を，参詣に来た東大寺の良弁上人が見て，かつて自分が鷲から落ちて，その杉の枝にかかっていたのを救われたという師の話を思い起こし，驚いて貼紙の主をたずねたところ，現れたのは年老いて女乞食に落ちぶれた渚の方であった。
