An internal conflict occurred within the Hojo clan in February 1272 (Bun'ei 9). Hojo Tokimune, regent of the Kamakura shogunate, killed his half-brother Hojo Tokisuke, who held the position of Rokuhara Tandai Nanpo, when he plotted a rebellion. Tokisuke's reason for rebelling was his dissatisfaction with Tokimune having risen to power as regent and regent. This almost completely wiped out the opposing forces within the clan, and Tokimune's government was stabilized. Meanwhile, Adachi Yasumori, who played a central role in dealing with the incident, further strengthened his real power within the shogunate, deepening the conflict with the forces of the inner circle including Taira Yoritsuna. → Koan War

文永９年（1272年）２月に起きた北条氏一族の内紛。鎌倉幕府執権(しっけん)の北条時宗(ときむね)は，異母兄で六波羅探題南方の地位にあった北条時輔(ときすけ)が謀反を企てたため，これを討った。時輔が謀反を起こした原因は，時宗が得宗(とくそう)・執権となって権力の座に就いたことに対する不満にあった。これによって一族内の反対勢力がほぼ一掃され，時宗政権は安定化した。その一方，中心となって事件の処理にあたった安達泰盛(やすもり)は幕府内での実権をより強化させ，平頼綱(よりつな)ら御内人(みうちびと)勢力との対立を深めた。→弘安合戦
