A former town in Mitoyo County, western Kagawa Prefecture. It occupies the southwestern coast at the base of the Misaki Peninsula, facing the Hiuchi Nada Sea. It is famous for its mandarin orange production, with mandarin orange fields spreading across the mountainside. Rice, persimmons, and strawberries are also produced in the area. Tsutajima Park is included in the Setonaikai National Park. In January 2006, it merged with the towns of Takase, Yamamoto, Mino, Toyonaka, Takuma, and Zaita in Mitoyo County to become a city. 15.49 km2 . 7,234 people (2003).
