Inohana Pass - Inohana Pass

A pass that crosses the Sanuki Mountains, connecting Kagawa Prefecture and Tokushima Prefecture. It is often written as "Inonohana Pass." It is on the border between Mitoyo City in Kagawa Prefecture and Miyoshi City in Tokushima Prefecture. It is 543 meters above sea level. It has been a pass connecting Asan since ancient times, and still retains its former appearance. Currently, both National Route 32 and the Dosan Line pass through tunnels below the pass. Of the passes connecting Asan, it is the busiest and most important. On the southern slope is Hashikura Temple, the inner sanctuary of Kotohira Shrine.

香川県と徳島県を結ぶ、讃岐(さぬき)山脈を越える峠。「猪ノ鼻峠」と表記することが多い。香川県三豊(みとよ)市と徳島県三好(みよし)市の境にある。標高543メートル。古くから阿讃(あさん)を結ぶ峠で、往時の姿をとどめている。現在は国道32号、土讃線とも峠下をトンネルで通過する。阿讃を結ぶ峠のうちでもっとも交通量が多く、重要な峠になっている。南斜面に金刀比羅(ことひら)宮の奥院箸蔵(はしくら)寺がある。
