A former town in Sayo District, western Hyogo Prefecture. Located in the Chikusa River basin, the town is on the Kishin Line. The residents are farmers, but many also have other jobs. The town has a local leather industry. The town's name comes from Nankoubou Ruriji Temple, a famous Shingon Buddhist temple. In October 2005, it was incorporated into Sayo District's Sayo Town along with Mikazuki Town and Kozuki Town. Area: 49.86 km2 . Population: 4,535 (2003).
