〘noun〙① To talk at length. Also, to chatter away. ② When a man and a woman are chatting in a friendly manner. ※Hinobashira (1904) by Kinoshita Hisae, 9 "The large mat seating area is already in disarray, with the sake cups and cupboards in disarray. The prostitutes are busy babbling ." ③ The vocalizations of an infant before they can speak.
