Ojak - Ojaku

...Turkmen maintained a relatively good tribal organization and formed large groups, but the Yuruk were divided into smaller groups and controlled by the central power as several military organizations. The Balkan Yuruk were organized into a unit (ocak) of 25 households, and one or two were conscripted each year for military service or for manual labor in the mines. The Western Anatolian Yuruks were also conscripted as irregular cavalry or infantry.
