A Kabuki composer. There are four generations of him. First World(1747-1808) Born to Izumiya, who worked in theater-related jobs in Doshocho, Osaka. He became a student of Namiki Shōzō and trained in the Hama-shibai (seaside theater) under the name Namiki Gohachi (Gohachi), before moving into the big theater world. In 1777 (An'ei 6), he changed his name to Namiki Gohei, and along with Nagakawa Kamesuke, he became a popular playwright. He wrote masterpieces such as "Tenmangu Natane no Goku", "Kinmon Gosan no Kiri", "Keisei Yamato Soji", and "Omowakukuru Wakatagi". In 1793 (Kansei 5), he changed his name to Gohei. The following year, on the recommendation of Sawamura Sojuro III, he received an extraordinary contract fee of 300 ryo and went down to Edo. He adapted his old Osaka works to an Edo style and was highly praised. He broke with the traditional Edo style with works such as "Godai Riki Koi no Fuujime," "Sumida Harugeisha Katagi" and "Tomioka Koi no Yamabiraki," and gave alternate titles to Soga's second sewa kyogen plays, which became hits. He returned to Osaka for a while, but died in Edo. His heyday as a writer was during his Osaka period, and he was characterized by the coexistence of large-scale frameworks with a strong sense of legend and a style that had the fat cut out. His simple style of writing had a fresh appeal in Edo, and he was praised as much as the first Sakurada Jisuke, who was also born in Edo. He also left behind the book "Haikai Tsugen" as a haiku poet at the Edo-za theater. [Hideo Furuido] II(1768-1819) Son of Edo hatamoto Nonoyama Daizen. A pupil of the first generation. Formerly known as Shinoda Kinji. He trained in Kamigata and worked as an assistant to Fukumori Kyusuke in Edo. He took the name in 1818 (Bunsei 1), but died the following year. He wrote the lyrics for Kiyomoto's Yasuna. He also studied under Shikitei Sanba, and wrote Gokan and other works under the names Katsuyo Sanjin and others. [Hideo Furuido] III(1790-1855) The second-generation disciple, Kinji Shinoda, succeeded him in 1833 (Tenpo 4). He is known as the author of "Kanjincho." The third-generation son, Goryu Namiki, took on the title of fourth-generation.
