Nahsi language - Nasi (English spelling)
A language belonging to the Lolo-Burman group of Tibeto-Burman languages. Written in Chinese as Naxi. Distributed mainly in Lijiang Naxi Autonomous County, Yunnan Province, China, it has about 230,000 speakers. It was previously called Moso. It is an open-syllabic language with a basic unit of consonants and vowels, and each syllable has one tone. It consists of 39 simple consonants, 11 simple vowels, and 11 polyphthongs, with four tones. The basic syntax is subject-object-verb, and case particles can be added to the subject and object. Example (tone notation omitted): ə(nш) thш(to) lo〈I (will) hit him〉.

チベット・ビルマ語派の中のロロ・ビルマ語群に属する言語。漢字では納西語と書く。中国雲南省麗江ナシ族自治県を中心に分布し,23万人ほどの話し手がいる。従来はモソ語Mosoと呼ばれた。基本単位は子音と母音からなる開音節言語で,各音節は一つの声調をもつ。単子音39,単母音11,複母音11からなり,声調は4種ある。基本構文は主語―目的語―動詞の語順をとり,主語・目的語には格助詞を付けうる。例(声調表記は省略),ə(nш) thш(to) lo〈私(は)彼(を)打つ〉。
