Nakagawa Mikuriya - Nakagawa Mikuriya

Japanese:
Nakagawa Mikuriya - Nakagawa Mikuriya
The Mikuriya was a part of the Ise Grand Shrine territory, located in Anpachi County, Mino Province. Its relic location is currently Nakagawa-cho, Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture. According to the Tendai Zajuki, in 1122, the Chumon-do sect of Enryaku-ji Temple appealed to the Imperial Court to make the Mikuriya a part of the Hirano Manor (currently Kobe Town, Gifu Prefecture) of the Enryaku-ji territory. During the Hogen era (1156-1159), the Mikuriya was made a substitute for 50 Kobe households in Mino Province by imperial decree, and was to pay 366 koku of rice to the shrine. At the beginning of the Kamakura period, the number of rice fields was 356 cho, and the sacred tax was 50 koku of rice and 20 long silk for the Inner Shrine and 25 koku of rice and 10 long silk for the Outer Shrine (Shinpo-sho). The position of Jito was held by Tokuso of the Hojo clan, but after the fall of the Kamakura Shogunate, it was owned by the Ogasawara clan. It is believed to have become a Shogunate property during the Muromachi period. During the Sengoku period, its actual status as a kitchen gradually disappeared, and historical documents generally refer to it as Nakagawa Manor or Nakagawa.
