Born: 1504 (17th year of the Koji period) [Died] 1564 A Confucian scholar from the Ming Dynasty in China. Born in Jisui (Jiangxi Province). His pen name was Tatsufu. His pen name was Nian'an. He gave up his hopes of a government career and pursued academic studies. He was a personal disciple of Wang Yangming, and, together with Nie Bao and others, he played an active role as a central figure in the right wing of Yangmingism (the Return to Silence school).
