Inagawa River

A river that flows through the southeastern part of Hyogo Prefecture. It is a first-class river with a length of 43.2 kilometers. It originates near Nishitoge on the border with Osaka Prefecture, flows south through Inano, and merges with the Kanzaki River in Amagasaki City before flowing into Osaka Bay. Its drainage area is 383 square kilometers. In the lower reaches, it forms a delta with the Muko River. The upper reaches are the scenic Inagawa Valley Prefectural Natural Park, and include Kagobo Hot Springs. The middle reaches have many historical sites related to the Tada Genji clan. The Inagawa River also fostered the development of local industries such as sake brewing in Ikeda City and leather in Kawanishi City.

兵庫県南東部を流れる川。一級河川。延長43.2キロメートル。大阪府境の西峠付近に源を発し、猪名野を南流しながら尼崎市(あまがさきし)で神崎(かんざき)川と合流して大阪湾に注ぐ。流域面積383平方キロメートル。下流部では武庫(むこ)川とともに三角州を形成する。上流部は猪名川渓谷県立自然公園の景勝地で、籠坊(かごぼう)温泉もある。中流は多田源氏ゆかりの史跡が多い。また猪名川によって池田市の酒造業、川西市の皮革業などの地場産業を発展させた。
