Triphenylmethane

C ₁₉ H ₁₆ (244.33). (C ₆ H ₅ ) ₃ CH. Obtained by Friedel-Crafts condensation of three benzene molecules with chloroform. Two crystal forms (alcohol solvent) are known, the unstable form has a melting point of 81 °C, and the stable form has a melting point of 94 °C. Boiling point is 359 °C. λ _max 256, 262, 269 nm (log ε 2.86, 2.92, 2.81). Soluble in ether, chloroform, etc. The hydrogen bonded to the central carbon is weakly acidic (p K _a 32.5) and reacts with metals to give a deep red triphenylmethanide anion solution, which can be oxidized to triphenylmethanol. C₁₉H₁₆(244.33)．(C₆H₅)₃CH．ベンゼン3分子とクロロホルムとをフリーデル-クラフツ縮合させると得られる．二つの結晶形(アルコール溶媒)が知られており，不安定形は融点81 ℃，安定形は融点94 ℃．沸点359 ℃．λ_max 256，262，269 nm(log ε 2.86，2.92，2.81)．エーテル，クロロホルムなどに可溶．中心炭素に結合した水素は，弱い酸性(pK_a 32.5)を示し，金属類と反応して深赤色のトリフェニルメタニドアニオン溶液を与え，酸化すればトリフェニルメタノールになる．[CAS 519-73-3]
