A tool similar to an awl used to crush ice. It is held by about 2-3 cm from the tip, not by the handle, and the ice is broken by hitting the wrist of the hand holding the ice with the wrist of the hand holding the ice pick (dominant hand), adjusting the force and direction. Ice for cocktails and on the rocks is made with this. Source: Kodansha Dictionary of Tableware and Cookware Information |
